Thank You
On behalf of our entire family, and from the very bottom of our hearts, thank you so much for supporting the Lil’ A Team and the Herma Heart Center. Please know that your kindness and generosity will have a very real and direct impact not only on the life of our own Little A, but also on the lives of many children just as amazing as he is who are living with congenital heart defects.
In all honesty, it is really difficult to put into words how deeply grateful we are for your support. In August of 2005, we sat in a room with Dr. James Tweddell, Anthony’s surgeon, after Anthony had undergone major heart surgery for 9 hours. We sat there in that room, with this man whose hands had just been inside our son's heart and saved his life and we were filled with this kind of gratitude and awe that literally shook us to our core. We feel the same way writing this letter to you, trying to say thank you for fighting for Anthony and children like him, and knowing the words won’t ever be enough.
Please know that at the end of the day, you are a hero, not only to our Little A, but to our whole family and lots of other families just like ours.
